What we call it as an Interest..

Some days ago I found a video hailing arrange marriage system india, which stated 95% of marriages happen in India are arranged ones and only 5% of them end up in divorce. This post is not about arrange marriages. In that particular video , protagonist said one statement “My goals are blah blah…. And eventually they evolve”. Suddenly the bold statement triggered my fickle mind to articulate many thoughts for which I was not able to find some words to express since long! I couldn’t manage to imagine before ,that even goals , interests , enthrallments , likings , and overall personas are tend to evolve with time.

Talking about Interest or goals , they certainly evolve! Again on Facebook my friend posted something like there is nothing like interesting or something really good or bad .It’s all about amount of time which we spend on thing s we come across which eventually lead us to generate liking towards it!”.

I fully agree with statement above. Interests are actually outcomes of time spent on things. If you ask a boy who just finished his high school “what you want to be in future?” , then he may say, an astronaut , doctor or an engineer; but one should not be immature to understand the reason behind his sayings as his interest in particular field. Surely not, many times people follow trends which were set up by many like them previously. E.g. if a student gets good marks then he will end up in doing science because most of the students having good marks had already chosen science and they contributed to make this as a trend.

Anyway, Mostly people will not find what their interests are! They just face things as they move ahead in life’s voyage and found something in the middle, they spend some time on it and they start liking it, this is what they call interest. In contrast some people , especially actors, painters or sportsmen are known to have an idea of their interest since their childhood. They know what they like and they pursue their liking for a long time, that eventually become their interest.

So again it’s all about on which branch of tree ,your bloody whimsical monkey stops, how long it stays there and if at all it finds something there to eat, to look for, to be fascinated about! We humans call it as an Interest J

Happy Friendship Day!

I couldn’t have found better time to write this post. Friends have always been special in our life. Of course not all of them are genuine ones but yes they are there for you for timely suggestions, advices, consolations etc. Not always we get a chance to test our friends against the statement “’ a friend in need is a friend Indeed”. There are very few of them who really stand still with you when there is real need. So , what about other , aren’t they friends ? I would rather face quandary to answer this question, but if i have no choice but giving an answer then I would say no. If a friend is not there for you in need ,its not a friend. But is it on the side of conscience to be expecting something from our friends always? Umm, Yes. They are our friends , perhaps sometimes they stand more important than our blood relations. Its our right to expect at least something from them, nothing wrong in that. And if you are ready to do anything for them , then definitely nothing wrong to expect from them too!!

There are situations, where you find someone very close to you (Your best friend) shows different colours when you are in real trouble and needy predicament. Then you realise that , this is not the one which you were looking for to place him/ her at the place called “Best friend”. It hurts a lot , when this kind of stuff happens. But as I said earlier there are very few friends you will find to whom you can say they are your best friends! If you could manage to get even a single of this kind then , there is nobody luckier than you , I must say.

Most people have friend circle from their college days. They keep visiting each other even after college.. may be for 2-3 years . Then everybody gets busy with their ambitions, their interests , they define their priorities and thus all the connections with old college friends gets vanishes all of a sudden. It is very common story which happens with most of the people. People move on and meet new people , make new friends. So all the time through this journey we find many friends ,rather so called “friends”. At least they are there with you, so its ok to call them friends. You never know who could become your best friend among all these.

I am lucky to get 2-3 to whom I can call my Best friends . I will be ready for them always when they need me. I pray to god on the occasion of friendship day that, please empower to keep myself humble, down to earth and honest towards my all friends. Happy friendship day to all my friends!! Love you all.

Some Good Reading - Scribbled

I had been through some good reading last night, probably i had gone through all that is written over there that’s why it feels me these excerpts should be on my blog, I hope it will be helpful to somebody ... This is excerpt from the book “The eight powers within you “ by Shishir Shrivastva. I literally don’t know who this man is but ,he has written something pithy that I thought could be of somebody’s recourse in difficulties which usually faced by many of us.

“Self-limiting beliefs are among the biggest obstacles to building self-confidence. You must try to get rid of the false notions you have been holding about yourself in your brain. To do this, you must write down the different beliefs that affect your performance and ask yourself: 'Is this attitude justified? Is it true about myself? What can I do to change it?'

When you analyse your self-limiting beliefs and ask self-empowering questions of yourself, you will find that most of your beliefs are false. Knowing this, you can adopt a new belief system that is self-empowering and enriching.

When you do this, you will realise that all your beliefs are a choice and what stands between you and your accomplishments is the will to take the first step and the belief that it is possible for you to reach the great heights of achievement.

Develop your self-esteem

Self-esteem is the opinion you have about yourself. It greatly influences you each time you go out to perform. The higher your self-esteem, the better your performance at work. Self-esteem and self-confidence have a direct correlation. One of the first steps to take when you want to build self-confidence is to like yourself. When you develop admiration for yourself, your self-respect and confidence level go up. Start saying to yourself from today, 'I like myself, I like myself, I like myself.'

Your self-esteem plays a major role even in your interactions with others. While dealing with other people, constantly remind yourself, 'I am as portent as you are and you are as important as I am.' When you repeat this affirmation, your self-esteem and self-confidence are enhanced. When this happens, your chances of success in relationships increase. There is a direct correlation between the amount of self-respect you have and the respect others have for you.

How to gain instant self-confidence

Getting over difficult situations is not always easy. Our brain tends to lock in memories when an event causes negative emotions. These strong emotions return when things go bad. Surely you remember forgetting a line in a poem when you were young or being pointed at when you didn't complete your homework. But you had a lot of successes too -- and they were just as important.

The problem is that focusing on failures tends to lower self-confidence and lets you down. So you must recall your triumphs. Maintain a victory log. Instead of recalling your failures, summon up the instances where you did well. Each day write down one or two successes that you have had. Regularly feed your victory log and refer to it when you feel low. A look at it will boost your self-confidence.

Focus on your strengths
You are a born to excel in something. The best way to identify your ability is to put yourself in different situations. Then see what you like doing the most, what you can do with natural ease. Once you discover your innate talent, you must devote a great amount of time to working hard and trying to become the best in your chosen field. This will increase your confidence tremendously.

Learn to overcome your fears

Have the firm belief that you have the ability and strength to overcome your fears. Remember, fear is a state of mind. You may fear doing something but many others around you do the same thing with natural ease. Some of them would have started out with fear in their mind, just like you. These people should be an inspiration to you. To overcome your fears, you must choose to take small but consistent steps in the direction of what you fear doing.
When you do a bit of what you fear, your confidence gets a boost. Suppose you have never been on stage and have a fear of speaking in public. You can begin by learning a few lines from a poem that you like. Practise speaking the lines aloud in a room, in front of a mirror, and later on an empty stage (with no audience at all). This step-by-step process will bolster your faith in yourself. Slowly, you will reach a stage where you will be speaking in front of an audience with little or no fear at all.

Predictions through Generality

We always talk things in broader perspectives. What I meant exactly by this is , theres always you will find people tend to predict about things in future from their past experience and this “past” experience can be a reading in newspaper or news on television or statement made by scholars or even by politician. Before elections, every news channel sets up a panel to discuss who will win the elections. People jamming there are said to be shrewd and having experience in election analysis (My foot!!). They predict the result and mostly it is destroyed by the live facts coming out in front of them from different constituencies.
The fact of the matter here is , people tend to predict by having look at generality i.e. what generally happens. It may be in elections or in predicting FIFA world cup results. Recently animal who is in limelight more than Cristiano Ronaldo, Paul the Octopus had been predicting results of Germany’s matches in world cup. Many people were following him for results before match, and by coincidence he predicted all the result with cent percent accuracy. But did this little bloody animal really decide Germany’s fate in world cup? Any wise man’s answer will be a big NO. People inclined to trust it’s decision from past experience. They tend to believe Paul slowly as most of his predictions were right.
You must have heard gossips like , “Tendulkar will hit a century today”, “FedX will win wimblondon”, “Schumacher will win race today”. These things happen generally , the probability of happening of these things is always high. So there is nothing wrong to make predictions on this basis, it is natural tendency of human to talk like this. This is generality and this has always a preference in people’s predictions.
But before making any predictions we should always take the fact in to consideration that it is entirely possible that the opposite side of predictions always has equal chances to happen as predictions! (This is just a random thought which came after hearing one of many foolish predictions always being made with confidence)

'Immortal' friendship

From few days I have been reading characters of great Hindu Epic Mahabharata . It is source to learn Mores, principles, ethics and ethos, strategy making and even craftiness and connivance to win a war.
A lot to learn from this ,but character which comes out whose efficacy has impacted my mind in mystical way is the eternal character of immortal Karna. Let it be his generosity or power of divine Earrings and protective armor , his charisma or his strength he was just the Hero of this epic Mahabharata. Among all these one thing is worth mentioning, his friendship towards Duryodhana – the villain of the whole story. Although he was against the Dharma(Conscience) Karna was beholden to him via his friendship for the help he got in the hastinapur’s skill show arranged by Drona, where Karna was refused to participate because he was not prince but a Soot Pootra(Son of charioteer ) Duryodhana immediately offered him Ang province to make him prince of it,And thus he became Angraj Karna to participate in the show. Abided by this help Karna pledged to help Duryodhana whenever he needs it.

When lord Krishna went to Karna for persuading him to not to be on the side of Kauravas in the battle of Kurukshetra by making him aware that ultimately Karna would be king of hastinapur after victory of pandavas in the battle, as Karna was the elder brother of Pandvas and son of Kunti. But even after this alluring offer by Krishna he was staid and stoic towards it. He supposed his first and foremost job is to help his friend Duryodhana. He followed the rules by heart as a warrior , as son , as friend and even as chief of the Kaurava’s army which he took after the death of Drona where he put down his bow from which death of Arjuna was imminent had there not been the sunset.
It was mentioned by the scholars that , Karna and Duryochana were so close friends that Duryodhana literally wept on the death of Karna, which he did not do on the death of his 99 brother who lost their lives in the battle against Pandavas. Duryodhana always knew the fact that Only Karna can manage to destroy Arjun because he was the only man superior to Arjun at times, so he kept the battle on even after losing great warriors like Drona , Bhishma and Dushasan. Krana finally went to the battle field and fought bravely against Arjun but alas Arjun managed to kill Karna by trickery. Karna did all this to just because of friendship. He could have been fled away from this but didn’t because he promised Duryodhana to help him out and he was indeed a great warrior even greater than Arjun .
I bow to thee to this friendship between Karna and Duryodhana which is immortal as Karna in our heart s even today. Hail Karna !!

Politics and Maoism

Maoism , the bigger challenge than even foreign terrorism in front of UPA. Its the unconscionable way of expressing concerns about backwardness of people, pretence of fight against injustice to people in limbo for many years. Will violence help to reach to the solution and justice to these people? Many political leaders are justifying moves by Maoist, just because of their political interests, But till when this government will sustain against the wrath of the common man because of this sanguine fake battle of Maoism ?
Let it be genocide in Dantewada or the train mishap in west Midanapur, its just the another course of action for Maoist. Till Dantewada its the Cops who are prime target of Maoist, but after Midanapur mishap it is proved that , they just don't care about innocent people but only violence. These killers are being supported by many politician for their vote bank. When this will stop?
The UPA government seems to be in pressure of these politicians for actions against Maoist. This fact is direct reflection of the government's reluctance to act against this violence. Home minister's expressions after the Dantewada massacre ,in Padma awards ceremony clearly shows his uneasiness, and impotency against Maoists ,compelled by the political pressure .

Government has two options in front of it, either to tackle this problem with force or solve this issue with development of people far from progress for many years. The later option is applicable for long run. The former one is the quick result producing, but UPA needs to be courageous to act againts maoist quickly, destroying the political pressure .Lets see how it goes with the time and how many Dantewada still in queue for breaking government's long hibernate against this internal terrorism.

Season Starts!

Its been too long since i posted here, I was waiting for something to happen in this long period but it didn't happen as always, so just couldn't scribbled over here.
season started with IPL and Formmula one.Few days back it was sheer big question , what to watch on TV , even Rahul Mahajan did the trick but after that it was drought on the TV entertainment which finally ended up with extreme sporting action in the start of march.
Talking about IPL , Yes it is back home and the driving force to most of the fans to go out on the ground & cheer for their teams , even some teams are not playing at their home ground , fans from replaced venue didn't make them homesick. The magic is just more miraculous than the season-1 , just its amazing to see around lac of people cheering for DADA's half century Or Sachinn's straight drive Or Yusuf's DLF Maximum. This all led modi to introduce two other teams, and we are so lucky here in pune to be in those two, thanks to Subrata Roy of Sahara Group.Next day in office mails started flooding out our inboxes with Pune Team new Jersey design, or Famous Puneri Patya's on the Ground & team's office. Very innovative sense of humour!
Talking about formula-1, season started with scorching heat to beat on Sakhir circuit on Bahrain. My favourite Vettle did the magic again in his RB6(Car's Name which is still decent than VJM03) & grabbed the pole in qualifying. But unfortunately didnt finish on the same position but on fourth due to reliability issues with RB6 which were in highlight even in albert park , Australia where the he was again on pole and repeated the same story. Jenson button showed it again that it wasn't a mere flash in pan world championship for him last year.
Sania mirza just playing circus around her marriage as if god has forgotten to plan something called "Brain" in her head. She just selected THE Shoib Malik as her groom ,What can i say more? She even didn't have any remorse on her pallid face while breaking this news in media , I never understood the fact that why Indian Govt has given so many national awards to loser like her , who never managed to cross third round of any grand slam she played even after playing for more than five years of tennis? i mean , look at saina nehwal, she just outperformed sania always. Its good to get herself married soon ,though the choice is so preposterous.
